Joanne has worked in and managed law firms in London, Manchester, Cheshire and Brecon and has a wealth of experience in civil, commercial and family proceedings. Joanne is also an accredited civil, commercial and family mediator and has run her own successful mediation practice for a number of years.
Joanne studied at UCL, the College of Law, London School of Mediation and ADR Group – qualifying as a solicitor in 1996 and as a mediator in 2012.
Joanne’s reported cases include: Lathom Construction v Cross & Cross  Adj LR 10/29, Re: L (Contact: Domestic Violence)  2 FLR 334, Re: Salmet International Limited (in administration)  BCC 796, Re: Mays Deceased  EWCH 1422 (Ch) and Maden v Clifford Coppock & Carter (a firm)  2 AER 43 (CA).
She is a keen runner, having completed a marathon, 3 half marathons and numerous 10k races. In her free time, she can generally be found in a muddy field, watching her 3 sports mad children compete.

Tim is an experienced manager having worked in the litigation and collection sectors for over 30 years.
He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the business and has responsibility for the operational teams. Tim is used to managing high volume litigation cases and works closely with the teams to ensure that they provide a high quality, compliant and cost effective service.
Outside work, Tim enjoys all sports especially rugby and football.
Danielle leads the Landlord & Tenant team at Kearns and provides support to our Debt Litigation Department.
After qualifying in 2009, Danielle gained experience in the Financial Services Disputes & Investigations department of a leading Cardiff firm, specialising in commercial litigation and financial recoveries. She is an accomplished advocate, having represented clients in courts and tribunals.
In her free time, Danielle is kept busy with family, friends and her dogs.
Laura was called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn in 2004 and later qualified as a Solicitor.
Laura brings over 10 years’ experience to her role, having previously worked with Kearns as an Advocate, representing clients in a variety of Courts on the South West circuit, and GE Money as Consultant Lead Counsel specialising in Consumer Credit matters & IPM contracts.
Previously Laura has spent time working for a Local Authority’s Information Governance department during which time she developed a deep knowledge of Data Protection and Freedom of information legislations.
Throughout her career Laura has developed extensive knowledge of the legal and regulatory aspects of mortgage, buy-to-let, and secured loan markets. Laura plays a pivotal role in developing new and strengthening existing client relationships and driving the business forward by building on the already well-established name and reputation of Kearns.
Laura is also the Money Laundering Regulatory Officer for Kearns.

Magda is our Booking Clerk and is responsible for booking up cases along with all Agents’ files.
She joined the Kearns team in December 2014 having previously worked for Link Financial Outsourcing Limited as a Litigation officer for 13 years.
Magda was born in Poland and came to UK in 1999 as part of her University experience. She graduated in 2002 with a Master’s degree in Business in Agriculture.
Nadine joined Kearns in December 2014 having previously worked for Link Financial Outsourcing Limited for 13 years.
Nadine deals with updating papers/ instructions and also submitting Hearing Reports after the Hearing date.
Nadine studied her HND in Law at Glamorgan University in 1999.
Rebecca joined Kearns in November 2016 as a Paralegal in the Agency Team.
Rebecca successfully completed her Bar Professional Training Course and was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in July 2015. Upon completing the course, she worked within the public sector, specialising in matters relating to NHS funding of care home fees.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys competitive cheerleading, competing throughout the year to achieve National Champion status with her team. When she is not competing herself, she enjoys helping her daughter with her gymnastics training.

Sharon worked for Link Financial Outsourcing Limited (and group companies) for 11 years as a team leader within the Litigation department. In 2015, she joined Kearns in the Litigation Process team, progressing to the role of team manager of the Agency team. Sharon is responsible for the day to day running of the Agency team, which handles high volume litigation cases in courts throughout England and Wales. Sharon is also the first aider and fire marshall for Kearns.

Laura joined Kearns in October 2016, initially as a Litigation Officer within our Litigation Team. Following a very successful first year, Laura was promoted to Litigation Specialist in October 2017.
Laura holds a First Class Honours Degree in Police Sciences from the University of Wales, where she honed her analytical skills and legal astuteness. She is a highly professional and personable member of the team
|View||Stephen Southwood-Evans||Litigation Specialist|
Stephen joined the firm’s Legal Services team in 2015, and since 2000 has had extensive experience across both the County Court and the High Court – specialising in litigation relating to private housing law, commercial leases, trusts, and recovery of debt (both regulated and unregulated).
Stephen also chairs the South West region of the Civil Court Users Association which has a close working relationship with policy makers at the MoJ and HMCTS, allowing us to better represent the interests of the firm’s clients who are forced to resort to legal proceedings to recover debts, or private / commercial property.
Stephen provided our Solicitor with assistance in the notable cases of Jones -v- Link Financial Ltd  EWHC 2402 (QB) and Kiani -v- Link Financial Ltd  2XO65403 (on appeal).

Ross has more than 40 years experience in the finance industry and recently joined Kearns as a Litigation Specialist.
Ross has developed an extensive knowledge of bulk litigation on secured and unsecured debt as well as the return of goods process for auto finance.

Steve joined the firm in 2015, having previously worked for Link Financial Outsourcing (and group companies) for almost a decade. Steve specialises in contract law dealing with Defended Civil Litigation and has developed a considerable knowledge in the niche sector of Consumer Credit Law. Steve often assists in some of our more challenging cases.
Steve has experience across a range of civil proceedings in the County Court and regularly attends Court hearings for clients in Small Claims, Mortgage Possessions, Landlord & Tenant, Charging Orders, Bankruptcy Petitions, Re-determinations, CMC / Directions and General Applications.
Steve is also an associate member of CILEx working towards Fellowship.

Nicky is our Assistant Accountant and joined the Company in May 2015 having worked within the financial services sector for over 20 years. Nicky holds the Full AAT Qualification and is currently progressing through the CIMA professional qualification at Diploma Level.
Nicky is responsible for the management of Finance within Kearns and works closely with the Litigation, Agency & Legal Services Teams. She is also responsible for the provision of management information reporting.
Outside of work, Nicky is a keen horse-rider who likes to make the most of the great outdoors.
